LUC has announced its director of environmental planning, Joanna Wright, has been appointed as a Fellow of Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) after being nominated by her colleagues.
LUC said the appointment is in recognition of Wright’s “commitment to environmental sustainability including her dedication as an EIA practitioner”.
During her career she has overseen the delivery of the IEMA EIA Quality Mark within LUC since its inception in 2011 and facilitated internal training sessions on ‘lessons learned’ following from the implementation of the 2017 EIA Regulations.
IEMA has recognised Wright’s desire to further develop the profession through being an active member of the Scotland West Steering Group and regularly speaking at EIA conferences.
Wright said she is “looking forward to engaging with IEMA events in the future and using her new fellowship to continue to improve EIA practice”.
