Landscape and urban design practice Plincke has promoted associate Reno Whitehead to director status.
Whitehead joined Plincke in 2000 as a graduate landscape architect and has led on many of the practice’s campus and educational projects including the award-winning Birmingham City University’s Institute of Art of Design.
The appointment follows the company’s decision to open a new West Midlands design studio near Rugby in response to a growing portfolio of work in the area, including the lead master planning role for the St. Mary’s Lands regeneration area, which includes Warwick Racecourse and a new hotel development.
Plincke managing director Colin Burden said: “Opening the West Midlands studio was a logical step for us, it bridges the gap between our core locations in London and Manchester and enables us to respond to a growing client base in areas such as Birmingham, Leicester and Coventry. I’m delighted that Reno will be leading the new studio, he’s a hugely talented and technically skilled individual and well-liked member of the team.”
